Hratch Kardachian, with a "c," owns the family bakery and has been trying to trademark his company logo.

Problem is, the famous Kardashians feel his business is trying to capitalize off their name, and want him shut down from securing any official trademarks. However, we're told Kardachian used the "Americanized" version of his last name when he opened the restaurant, leaving him with Kardashian.

And get this ... sources at the restaurant tell us the owner claims he is actually a distant relative to Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney through their late father, Robert Kardashian.

The Kardashian girls have until February 2018 to explain exactly why they are opposing the restaurant.

Maybe they can just settle up over a nice Kafta sandwich or Zaatar pizza.
