Kim Kardashian Sued By Makeup Co. Claiming 'Trade Secrets' May Be Passed To Kylie's New Partner

By Mike Walters

Kim Kardashian is being sued by a makeup company who claims they were instrumental in the success of, and subsequent massive sale, of Kylie Jenner's beauty line -- and is worried Kylie and Kim may share 'trade secrets' of their 'unique business model' with Kylie's new partner, Coty.

According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, a company called, Seed Beauty, claims it is the reason Kylie Cosmetics exploded in popularity and profit, based on their ability to "manufacture and ship products directly to consumers" from their Oxnard, California location.

In the lawsuit, the company says it "incubated" and grew both Kylie and Kim's beauty companies to massive success.

Company Worried Kardashian's May Spill Trade Secrets To New Partner

However, Seed Beauty claims after Kylie sold off 51% of her company to one of their largest competitors, Coty, for a reported $600 Million -- and now KKW Beauty is also in negotiations to sell to the same company -- they are worried their business secrets may be shared by the Kardashians.

"KKW has access to constitute trade secrets that are essential to Seed Beauty's competitive position in the beauty and cosmetics industry," the filing states.

The company is so serious about the specifics of the information, that it intentionally blacked out portions of the publically filed lawsuit to protect the information they needed were forced to include in the document.

Claims There Is A 'Concrete Threat' Of It's Secrets Being Shared

In the filing, the company explains it goes to great lengths to protect sensitive information -- including "key card access" to its office, "additional key card and code access, with further restrictions, at the laboratory and development sites, and monitoring of the entire premises by security personnel employed by the office complex."

"There is a concrete threat that KKW will disclose (off the trade secrets) to one of Seed Beauty's largest competitors, Coty," the suit claims.

As for Kylie, the company claims after working with her to blow up her cosmetics line, which led to the huge sale to a major competitor, it notified her "it was prohibited from disclosing" details of their contract but she refused to confirm or deny information had already been passed to Coty.

Seed Beauty Wants Restraining Order Against Disclosing Information To New Co.

As you can imagine, Kim and Kylie used the same legal team to negotiate the possible purchase of Kim's Beauty line with the same people who bought Kylie's -- and now the company believes that unless the court steps in and takes action, "unlawful disclosure" of the information "would cause irreparable harm" including "its most sensitive and highly confidential trade secret information in the hands of one of its largest competitors."

The company suing Kardashian is asking for a temporary restraining order and permanent injunction to prohibit any disclosure of confidential information to Coty.
