Kim responded to criticism over the bottle’s similarity to Jean-Paul Gaultier’s fragrance bottle, telling Cosmo, “Sculptures were my inspiration, but I love that bottle. It’s iconic and celebrates the woman’s body, but my inspiration was a statue. I wanted [mine] to be really personal with my exact mold, but I’ve always loved the Gaultier bottles.”
Kim Kardashian West is likening herself to Venus de Milo or Michelangelo’s David by immortalizing her physic in sculpture. The mogul’s newest fragrance, KKW Body, has officially debuted and the bottle is a carbon copy of her coveted body.
Kardashian has been teasing the product all week with racy shots of her stunning body — sans clothing — all the way down to her nether regions.
She even showed what the process was like to mold her curves for the fragrance container.
The actual bottle looks more like a nude bodice you might find at the Louvre … if the ancient Greeks and Romans prized snatched waists and big booties.
Though the fragrance is likely to sell out, as most of Kim’s products do, it’s not been without controversy (also like most things Kim does).
People are calling out the “KUWTK” star for allegedly ripping off a popular fragrance that’s been around for years from French designer Jean-Paul Gaultier.
