On the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” season premiere, Kim K. revealed her recent medical diagnosis.
On the show, Kim said had been experiencing pain and numbness in her hands and sought out medical help. After a blood test, Dr. Daniel Wallace said that Kardashian’s “antibodies are positive for lupus and rheumatoid arthritis.”
Kardashian was of course upset at the troubling news and wondered how she was going to navigate her latest medical diagnosis:
“You know, you really do get in your head and think about the worst possible things that can happen. So, for the next few days it’s gonna be really hell…living, wondering what I have, what’s going on and how to fix this.”
Kardashian, who was with her sisters (except for Kourtney) when she got the call from her doctor, said she was “freaking out.” Her doctor told her they would find out more in a followup appointment.
Approximately 5 million people have some form of the disease.
Kardashian hadn’t revealed her diagnosis before the KUWTK premiere, so fans were taken aback. But they also offered support, with one fan mentioning it took them two years to get the right diagnosis.
“Luckily I got an answer quickly but it was a rollercoaster of emotions,” she replied.
