Kim Kardashian Addresses The Brutal Murder Of George Floyd -- 'I Am Disgusted'

Kim Kardashian has broken her silence on the tragic death of George Floyd and says she wants to use her platform to 'amplify the voices' that have been muffled for far too long.

In a statement, posted on Instagram, Kim Kardashian West describes her struggle of how to address the situation.

"For years, with every horrific murder of an innocent black man, woman, or child, I have always tried to find the right words to express my condolences and outrage, but the privilege I am afforded by the color of m skin has often left me feeling like this is not a fight I can truly take on as my own."

In Kim's statement, describes her heartbreak for people who have had loved ones murdered or locked away unjustly just because of the color of their skin.

"Not today, not anymore. Like so many of you, I am angry. I am more than angry. I am infuriated and I am disgusted. I am exhausted by the heartbreak I feel seeming mothers fathers, sisters, brothers and children suffering because their loved one was murdered or locked away unjustly for being black," she wrote.

In the statement, the reality star expresses the realization that she personally has never endured this type of suffering, but hopes to use her platform to push for immediate change in the system.

"Even though I will never know the pain and suffering they have endured, or what it feels like to try to survive in a world plagued by systemic racism, I know I can use my own voice to help amplify those voices that have been muffled for too long," Kim said.

Kardashian finished her statement with, "#blacklivesmatter #justiceforgeorgefloyd #justiceforahmaudarbery #justiceforbreonnataylor.

Kim posted the statement on Instagram with the caption, "Text "FLOYD" to 55156 #blacklivesmatter"

As we previously reported, Kim Kardashian is studying to become a lawyer to help fight for prison reform. Kardashian has used her public profile to pressure the government to release prisoners who have been given harsh or unjust sentences for non-violent crimes.
