Kid Rock could hardly contain his excitement when Jack Nicklaus sunk in a nearly impossible shot and score $15,000 for charity.
The 79-year-old golf legend teamed up with Kid Rock over the weekend for the “Celebrity Shootout” at the Champions Tour’s Ally Challenge at Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club in Grand Blanc, MI.
Nicklaus and Rock ended up in a chip-off against country music star Dierks Bentley and NHL star Henrik Zetterberg to determine the champions of the event.
Luckily, the “Bawitdaba” rocker had, arguably, the greatest golfer of all-time on his team … and Nicklaus did not disappoint.
Just off the green on #18, Nicklaus took his shot and holed out like a boss. The crowd went wild, especially Kid Rock, who was running around giving everyone high-fives.
Nicklaus shared the special moment on Instagram and mentioned a conversation he had with his wife: “Told Barbara that I don’t think I have any magic left in me!”
He explained that the $15,000 carryover was “all for charity!” and that the chip-off was to break a tie.
“Then I got a little lucky! … And Bob was a little happy!” Nicklaus added.
Seems like ol’ Jack is the true American Badass.
