Khloé Kardashian is teaching her 9-month-old daughter all about body confidence, revealing in a new interview the duo do positive affirmations every morning.
The "KUWTK" star opened up to Stellar Magazine, explaining her job is to ensure that True grows up with a healthy outlook on self-confidence.
"As silly as it sounds, I do positive affirmations with her in the morning. We sit in front of the mirror. It’s so corny: ‘I am beautiful!’" Khloé revealed, which seems to stem from her own experience with battling body shammers while in the public eye.
"I never, ever considered myself chubby or overweight. I didn’t know that I was until I went on TV, and everyone told me that I was ‘fat’. I never felt that way because my family never allowed me to. Anything about me that was positive, they would point out," she explained.
Tying it all back to her daughter with NBA player Tristan Thompson, Khloé continues, "It’s my job to make her feel, no matter what she looks like, that she is strong and confident and beautiful, and it’s OK to embrace all different shapes, sizes, and ethnicities."
Khloé gives her famous reality family credit for helping her learn to appreciate people's differences. "My whole family is a melting pot of race and skin tone and hair color and height – everything. That’s our reality and our children need to know how beautiful diversity is.”
Khloé's issue of Stellar is available on Australian newsstands now.
