Here's Why Kevin Sorbo Is Trending In Your Timeline

By Gary Trock

Kevin Sorbo caused a kerfuffle amongst the political Left after the notoriously conservative star Tweeted out some very polarizing opinions on guns, immigration and sex.

It's unclear why Sorbo chose Father's Day as his moment to set the Internet ablaze, but he initially set things off by tweeting, "If women are upset at Trump’s naughty words, who in the hell bought 80 million copies of 50 Shades of Gray?"

The question is a throwback to President Trump's infamous Access Hollywood incident with Billy Bush, where he was heard on tape boasting about women allowing him to "grab ‘em by the p****."

"Fifty Shades of Grey" is a 2011 erotic novel dealing with many themes of fetish, however many fans were quick to point out to Sorbo that the point he was missing had to do with "consent."

The former "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys" star later continued his Twitter storm and took aim at illegal immigration.

"68 people were killed in mass shootings in 2018. Did you know that about 2000 were killed by illegal aliens? Just saying. Build the wall."

Even though many followers were ripping Sorbo over his comments, he still had a large amount of supporters in his timeline who agreed with the conservative thoughts.

Still, Sorbo wasn't going to back down and later told everyone what he thought of their criticism by tweeting, "A party that supports abortion over Life, illegals aliens over its citizens, and refugees over its veterans is going to lecture me on morals. Don’t think so."

Since the comments, Sorbo has been lighting up on social media over those upset at the star for his views.

"Imagine just finding out that Kevin Sorbo sucks," one follower wrote, while another stated, "Consensual kinky sex and rape are not the same thing. Kind of like how a decent man and Kevin Sorbo are no the same thing."

Many were yearning for an appearance by "Xena: Warrior Princess" star Lucy Lawless to bring some civility to the situation, as she was the onscreen love interest/villain to the star.

"Kevin Sorbo is still mad that Xena was the better show," one person wrote.

"The only good thing kevin sorbo has ever done in his life was give lucy lawless a chance through the door that she then broke in half, set on fire, and blew up once she stepped into the scene. and he’s been bitter ever since," someone else theorized.

Still, the "Hercules" star is not letting the Left get him down, and is holding true to his beliefs.

For all the critics, Sorbo does have many people on his timeline supporting his views.

He also didn't let the drama get in the way of a good cause and spent Monday afternoon tossing some axes at the Folds of Honor Golf tourney in Tulsa, OK.
