Kevin Hart Is Speaking Out

Almost two months after Kevin Hart was involved in that car accident, the comedian has released an Instagram video in which he details what happened and how he's doing now.

Hart Suffered Traumatic Injuries

Hart's video does document a little bit of the Sept. 1 crash in which he suffered serious spinal injuries. He's still recovering, and has had to go through intense physical therapy to get back to his old self.

But he also talks about how the accident has changed him fundamentally.

'I See Things Differently'

Hart is very straightforward in his video, pulling no punches.

“Basically what you realize is that you're not in control. No matter how much you think you're in control, you're not in control. And at the end of the day, it can all be over, man.”

Text flashes on the screen: "September 1, 2019. I was involved in an accident. My world was forever changed."

'God Basically Told Me To Sit Down"

Hart says the accident was God telling him to basically stop and slow down.

“When God talks, you gotta listen. I swear, life is funny. Because some of the craziest things that happen to you end up being the thing that you needed most. And in this case, I honestly feel like God basically told me to sit down."

"You know, when you’re moving too fast, you’re doing too much, sometimes you can’t see the things that you’re meant to see. But after my accident, I see things differently. I see life from a whole new perspective, and my appreciation for life is through the roof.”

"Don't take today for granted, because tomorrow's not promised," he adds in the video, and ends on a positive note:

"The road to being a bigger and better version of me... looking forward to an amazing 2020."
