The man who struck fear into the heart of Kendall Jenner by showing up at her house is now in ICE custody after special agents got a tip on his whereabouts.
According to the U.S. Immigration and Custom's Enforcement, 38-year-old John Ford was arrested by HSI special agents, officers with ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations in the parking lot of a hotel in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
He was initially arrested on an expired visa, but agents quickly realized his terrifying criminal history.
HSI El Paso special agent in charge, Jack P. Staton, says, "Our special agents acted quickly on this tip to ensure that this obsessive behavior didn’t escalate to become a tragedy."
He strongly believes, "This timely arrest could very well have prevented a violent crime."
The Kardashian-Jenner family also released a statement about Ford's arrest: "“We are extremely appreciative of the hard work by the Los Angeles Police Department and ICE, whose swift response and professionalism led to the apprehension of this man."
The statement continues, "Not only have his actions had a severe impact on Kendall’s life, but on our entire family, causing all of us to fear for her safety as well as our own. Knowing this individual is in custody gives us peace of mind."
As we reported, Ford was hit with eight counts of trespassing after four separate incidents of showing up at Kendall Jenner’s property, which had resulted in 2 separate arrests.
The incident was so scary, Jenner filed her own declaration describing the emotional harm has caused. She obtained a restraining order against him keeping him 100 yards away for the next 5 years.
Ford remains in ICE custody in El Paso, Texas and is awaiting disposition of his immigration case, where he faces deportation back to Canada.
