Kelly Clarkson is asking a judge to order custody of her two young children, to be split between her and estranged husband, Brandon Blackstock.

According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, Kelly filed for divorce on June 4, 2020, and in the filing, she is asking the court to order joint legal and physical custody of 5-year-old daughter River Rose, and 4-year old son Remington Alexander, to be split between them.

In the filing, Kelly is asking for the couple's prenuptial agreement to be enforced which could outline a custody arrangement.

As we reported, since the couple entered into the prenup in 2013, Kelly is now asking the court to terminate Brandon's ability to seek spousal support.

In the documents, she does not mention child support, which will most likely be determined partially by the prenuptial agreement. If children are not mentioned, in the agreement, since the divorce is filed in the state of California, the amount owed each month will be determined by Kelly and Brandon's income.

As you know, Kelly just launched a successful talk show, and that salary would be considered in any amount awarded to Brandon.

We broke the story, Kelly filed for divorce in Los Angeles County Courts and listed 'TBD' as the date in which the couple separated. However, she did list 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for the couple's split.

Our sources say, the couple's break up is 'amicable' and the two will co-parent their children. It's unclear at this time where the children will live, either here in Los Angeles or on the family ranch in Montana.

But, both houses were recently listed for sale by the couple.

The timing is interesting, considering the couple recently put the family's Los Angeles mansion on the market.

The couple listed the home in May for $10 Million, and the San Fernando Valley home comes equipped with eight bedrooms, nine bathrooms, and two half baths.

Again, it's important to note, the couple signed a prenup on October 15, 2013, just five days before they walked down the aisle.

We're told there are no major issues between the couple, and they will just have to work out the financial situation, using their prenup as a guide.

The couple got hitched in 2013, are divorcing after seven years of marriage.
