Katy Perry isn’t letting an ongoing copyright trial get in the way of a fun night out!
The “Never Really Over” singer caused a stir when she showed up to celebrity hotspot Craig’s in West Hollywood on Wednesday.
Her dinner date came just hours after she testified in court over her 2014 smash hit, “Dark Horse.”
Perry was bombarded by photographers as she made her way out of the staple L.A. restaurant.
Holding onto her friend’s arm tightly, she sported a smile and breezed past the shutterbugs as they fired off questions about her day in court.
While she paid no mind to photogs, Perry made sure to sign autographs and stopped to talk to fans before jumping into her awaiting car.
Wearing a dark patent leather coat, she matched the stylish look with snakeskin heels and a white purse.
Looking every bit as fashionable as earlier in the day, Perry continued to shine with her designer duds.
The singer showed up to testify on Wednesday afternoon in Los Angeles court wearing a mint green fitted suit.
Perry kept it cool pairing the look with a white shirt and matching cateye sunglasses.
Just like her night at Craig’s, she passed by photographers on her way into court and kept quiet as they fired off questions about the case.
As The Blast reported, Perry has been accused of ripping off music for “Dark Horse.”
She was sued, along with music producer Dr. Luke and rapper Juicy J, back in 2014 by Christian rappers Marcus Gray (aka Flame) and Chike Ojukwu. They were accused of ripping off the gospel group’s 2008 song “Joyful Noise” for her Grammy nominated song.
They claimed they never gave permission or were paid and sued seeking unspecified damages.
Perry, Juicy J, and Luke denied all allegations of wrongdoing. They claimed to have created “Dark Horse” independently and said any similarities were not copyrightable.
The case is ongoing.
