Orlando Bloom has decided to open up about his sex life before meeting his fiancee Katy Perry, and surprisingly this unbelievably handsome actor didn't have much action going on for the six months before dating the singer.
Bloom sat down for an interview with Britain's 'The Sunday Times' where he revealed he actually went on a six-month celibacy run before starting to date the 'American Idol' host.
Plus, the story as to why and how it happened is straight out of a movie!
Orlando explained to the newspaper that he took a recommendation from his friend, professional surfer Laird Hamilton, after the 'Carnival Row' actor explained he 'wasn't happy' back in 2016.
“If you want to be serious about a relationship, go celibate for a few months and figure it out,” Hamilton told Bloom. So, he did it...for six whole months!
Orlando explained, “I was going to do three months, but I was really enjoying the way I was relating to women, and to the feminine within myself."
The interviewer for the paper asked Bloom if he watched a ton of pornography as a substitute for the real deal while he was abstaining from physical contact. Surprisingly, he said no, he did "completely nothing," he said during that time period.
“It was insane. I don’t think it’s healthy. I don’t think it was advisable. You have to keep it moving down there,” Bloom told the paper.
Bloom isn't a fan of porn in general, saying, “porn is super-disruptive to your sex life, to your libido, they’ve done the studies, they can’t find any kids who don’t watch it. When you watch multiple people at multiple times in one evening, how is your actual real-life partner going to match up? It’s just so destructive.”
Orlando Bloom is now happily engaged to 'American Idol' host Katy Perry, who is expecting the couple's first child. So, we know they did it at least once!
As we reported, the couple has postponed their summer wedding, which was all set for Japan. The Coronavirus outbreak has made it impossible for the 150 friends and family of the power couple to all get to that location.
According to reports, they are putting a pause on wedding planning at this point, and are just preparing for the arrival of their new baby.
