Kathy Griffin is making a huge statement with a lawsuit against her neighbor by promising to donate any money she wins to a worthwhile cause, while only vowing to keep $1.

According to documents obtained by The Blast, Griffin filed a counter-suit in December against Jeffrey Mezger, the CEO of KB Homes. She's suing for intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Griffin makes it clear she's not looking for a payday for herself from the wealthy executive, and instead "seeks the sum of $50,001 in compensatory damages." She claims that if awarded the money, $50,000 will be donated to the Time's Up Legal Defense Fund, and $1.00 will be kept for herself.

Mezger and Griffin have been locked in a dispute for the past year after she accused him of hurling homophobic slurs, while he accused the star of invasion of privacy for recording his rants. They also each filed restraining orders against each other, that were later tossed out.

After Griffin released the audio of Mezger, KB Homes did not oust their CEO but instead docked his 2017 bonus by 25%.
