Kanye West can’t let his feud with Taylor Swift go. The 43-year-old rapper took a jab at the “Folklore” singer on Friday night during what he called “another twitter tirade before bedtime.” Kim Kardashian‘s husband fired off several bizarre tweets, including showing love to rarely used emojis and declaring that both Guns n Roses and Nirvana is “my favorite” bands, before referencing his longtime beef with Taylor Swift. For those living under a rock, Kanye West made an immediate enemy in 2009 when he hijacked the then 19-year-old’s VMA speech.
Taylor Swift had just won a Moon Man for “You Belong With Me.” While accepting her award for best female video, Kanye West jumped up on the stage, took the mic from her and shouted, “Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’mma let you finish. But Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time! One of the best videos of all time!”
Taylor Swift stood by his side looking shocked, embarrassed, and confused on live television. Beyoncé, who was up for the same award for “Single Ladies,” looked equally as uncomfortable as young Swift.
While Taylor Swift ended up forgiving Kanye West for the shade he threw at the VMAs, they found themselves at odds again when he released his song, “Famous.” The story goes like this: the rapper called Taylor to ask if he could use her name in the song. She was unaware that he was recording their conversation and she gave him permission. The problem is that Taylor alleged that he never told her he was going to call her a “bitch” in the hit.
Kim Kardashian inserted herself in the feud when she released the recording to try and catch Taylor Swift up in a lie. The “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star later took to Twitter and called Taylor Swift a snake.
Kim’s snake reference took a full circle last night when her husband opted not to use the reptile emoji because “you know why.” Taking to Twitter in between the random display of thoughts, Kanye West posted a snap of a snake being caught after slithering on a bunch of rocks.
“Not gonna use a snake emoji cause you know why … I’m not sure if Christians are allowed to use snake emojis,” he captioned the picture. While he didn’t use Taylor Swift’s name, his reference didn’t go unnoticed by fans. Kanye West’s tweet has already copped 37k likes.
