Round 2 For West and Osteen

Televangelist Joel Osteen and Kanye West apparently had such a good time at their morning service at Osteen's Lakewood Church in Houston in November, that they'd like to repeat it, this time in New York City.

It will be called "Night Of Hope" and is set to take place at Yankee Stadium on May 2, according to TMZ.

West is continuing his transformation from a rapper to a pastor since releasing his gospel album, Jesus Is King.

When West spoke at the Lakewood event, he said he's now more "in service to God" rather than performing for fame and money.

Much Coveted Tickets

That November service sold out in minutes. Since more than 40,000 people attend Osteen's services each week, this 2020 gathering should fill up fast.

Tickets usually go for about $15, but it's unclear whether prices will get jacked up for this event, which should be well attended.

West Apparently Means It This Time

West has held plenty of his own church services this year, like at Coachella (naturally), a site in Salt Lake City, and a megachurch in Atlanta.

He even has his own choir, which is overseen by Jason White, who was formerly music director for the West Angeles Church. So he's not kidding around with this sharp turn in his ever-evolving career.
