Kanye West is promoting his new album Jesus Is King with his now infamous Sunday Services. This weekend, he performed on in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and while the concert itself was free, a $55 “Brunchella” meal was available.
A photo of the meal went viral on Twitter, and people are not impressed. To say the least.
Fans that attended Kanye’s sold out Brunchella in Baton Rouge spent $55 for brunch and got this. Would you ask for your money back or just enjoy the experience? pic.twitter.com/jINN6BSYQ6

After the photo went viral, Lauryn’s Fine Catering, the company behind the food, released a statement to TMZ regarding the incident:
“The catering company acknowledges it did not provide adequate food for ONE attendee and a social media post went viral. Kanye West and the Sunday Service collective should be disassociated with such claims surrounding the food at the event.”
They doubled down, releasing a second statement to DailyMail.com, further emphasizing that it allegedly only happened to one attendee.
“Lauryn’s Fine Catering has been contacted about the poor service and quality of food provided during the event as a paid vendor. The catering company acknowledges it did not provide adequate food for ONE attendee and a social media post went viral. Any further inquiries or food complaints associated with the event can be directed to Lauryn’s Fine Catering.”

However, the damage was done and Twitter did its thing. The immediate reaction was to compare it to the iconic Fyre Festival debacle.

However, many on Twitter aren’t sympathetic to the people who forked over the money for such diminished returns, claiming that they should have seen this coming. Kanye is always going to Kanye.
Word on the curb is Kanye is out here selling store brand bacon & Eggo waffles for 55.00 at #Brunchella.
