Kanye West is backtracking on comments he made earlier this week and is begging for his wife Kim Kardashian‘s forgiveness. The 43-year-old rapper is groveling publically, taking to Twitter to formally apologize. While he doesn’t specifically call out which tirade he is saying sorry for, the “Jesus Is King” rapper acknowledged that he “did not cover her like she has covered me.”
As The Blast reported, Kanye West made headlines with several Twitter tangents after crying at his first presidential rally in South Carolina almost one week ago.
Breaking down in front of the crowd, Kanye West said that “he almost killed” his first child while dropping the bombshell that Kim Kardashian was reportedly considering abortion when pregnant with North West. He then took to Twitter and accused his wife and mother-in-law, Kris Jenner, of trying to “lock him up.”
He didn’t stop there. Kanye West turned his focus primarily to Kris, stating she was no longer allowed to see their four children and claiming she released Kim Kardashian’s sex tape with Ray J all those years ago.

Days later, he accused his wife of “trying to fly to Wyoming with a doctor to lock me up like on the movie Get Out because I cried about saving my daughters life yesterday.” Kanye West also said he had been “trying to get divorced” from Kim Kardashian ever since she met with Meek Mill.
Now, he’s showing remorse with a public apology on Twitter and seemingly knows he was in the wrong. “I would like to apologize to my wife Kim for going public with something that was a private matter,” he began his apology parade.
“I did not cover her like she has covered me,” he added before turning his focus to his famous wife. “To Kim I want to say I know I hurt you. Please forgive me. Thank you for always being there for me.” Kim Kardashian remained silent on Kanye West’s breakdown until finally addressing his mental health on Wednesday, July 22.
Saying her family was “powerless,” she acknowledged her husband’s bipolar disorder while calling him “brilliant but complicated.” Kim Kardashian then asked for privacy.
