Justin Theroux says an ongoing war with his neighbor has reached an all new level of crazy, accusing the guy of scaling his building and performing his own investigation into work being done on the actor's apartment.
Theroux is responding to a counter-suit filed by Norman Resnicow, after the actor already sued his neighbor accusing him of harassment while "The Leftovers" star and Jennifer Aniston remodel their Greenwich Village co-op. Resnicow is claiming he's been terrorized by Justin and Jen with barking dogs and loud angry fights.
Theroux says Resnicow has continued his harassment since filing suit, and even trespassed onto his property in his pajamas on September 22 to take pics and badger the workers on the remodel. He submitted a photo of the neighbor allegedly trespassing as evidence in the case.
Theroux is dumbfounded as to why his neighbor has waged war, and points out he's lived above Resnicow for 13 years yet the guy is only able to identify two incidents in which he was disturbed by loud noise.
Theroux says the neighbor's allegation he left his barking dogs unattended inside his apartment is nothing more than a pathetic attempt to exploit the fact that he is deeply committed to promoting awareness of shelter dogs. He says the implication that he was operating his own informal shelter out of his apartment is false.
The actor says he's always lavished his dogs with attention, had them taken care of and never left them alone, even when he was out shooting films.
Theroux claims to be disturbed over the fact his neighbor has been lurking around and spying on the comings and goings from his guests, and he wants it to stop pronto.
