Jonah Hill is continuing to work on his growing tattoo collection and revealed the old school ink while stripping down in public.
The “Wolf of Wall Street” star was seen Tuesday in Hollywood when he decided to do a quick wardrobe change behind his car and stripped off his shirt.
Hill revealed 8 ink jobs, all done in the traditional style of tattoos with bold lines and iconic designs.
The star has a plethora of different tats, including a giant pirate ship in the middle of his chest.
He’s also got a panther, a skull and a classic spiderweb on his elbow. The permanent shoutout to his sister, actress Beanie Feldstein, can also be seen with the text, “Hello Beanie!”
We did some tattoo research, and it turns out the pirate ship is is said to symbolize courage and determination. When the flag of the ship is raised, it means the sailors and the pirate are not ready to surrender.
The ink can also symbolize an adventurous spirit and that they naturally love or desire to have an adventure with the pirate ship.
The panther tattoo usually represents strength, honor, valor, wisdom and power.
The tattoo with the most meaning to Hill is probably the one that he got in honor of his sister. Jonah got the tattoo right after his sister landed the leading role in the musical “Hello, Dolly!”
The ink is also done in the musical’s signature title font.
At the time, the “Booksmart” star shared the same photo with a caption that referenced the musical’s lyrics, writing, “Somebody wants to put on his Sunday clothes!!! @jonahhill – this is NEXT LEVEL. Love you!”
Along with his tattoos, Hill was also sporting some bleached hair. It’s unclear if the hairdo is for a role or not.
