Johnny Depp has one less legal issue to work about after settling a $350,000 court battle with his former lawyers.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Depp and the law firm, Buckley LLP, informed the court the case has been settled. The case will officially be closed next month.

Back in May, Depp was sued by his former lawyers at the firm Buckley LLP. They accused him of refusing to pay up on a $347,979.89 bill.

They claimed to have sent off invoices totaling $535,697.29 (which included a 10% discount) but he only paid $187,717.39. Despite promises for payment, they claim it never came. The suit was seeking the entire unpaid balance.

The firm had been hired to represent the actor in his separate $30 million-dollar lawsuit against his former entertainment lawyers, Bloom Hergott LLP.

In that case, Depp accuses his lawyers of collecting $30 million in commissions over the years, without ever having a written agreement.

The actor recently moved to dismiss Buckley’s lawsuit over the alleged $350,000 debt.

The actor denied all allegations of wrongdoing. He added, “Defendants further deny that Plaintiff suffered damages as a result of the alleged wrongful conduct of Defendants, and further generally and specifically deny that Plaintiff is entitled to any remedy or relief, legal, equitable, or otherwise, in any sum whatsoever, as against Defendants.”

Depp accused his former lawyers of charging “excessive and unreasonable” amounts. He asked the court to throw out the entire lawsuit.

The actor is still facing off in court with a crew member suing him over an alleged assault. He scored a victory in the case when a judge prohibited any talk of alleged drug use or Amber Heard.

Depp is still battling his ex-wife Amber Heard in a massive separate legal battle. He sued Heard accusing her of defamation. She has denied the allegations and is fighting to get the case dismissed.

Heard recently went to court requesting for a mental health professional to be allowed to conduct an "Independent Mental Evaluation" or IME on Johnny Depp. Depp is battling Heard’s request claiming it’s an invasion of privacy. He argues his current mental health state has little bearing on what may or may not have happened in the past.

"This is a defamation case in which Mr. Depp does not allege that he suffers from any mental disorder or condition. Thus, Mr. Depp's mental condition is not "in controversy" nor does good cause exist under the rule for an IME of Mr. Depp," wrote Depp’s lawyer.

His attorney continued, "It is preposterous notion that an IME now would shed light on Mr. Depp's mental state at the time of Ms. Heard's abuse hoax back in 2016. Ms. Heard's effort treads a well-worn path of victim blaming using the pretext of mental health.

The case is ongoing.
