Johnny Depp’s property manager accused Amber Heard of perpetrating a ‘hoax’ by somehow faking photos of her bruised face and clumps of hair pulled out — despite him saying she had ‘no marks’ at the time she reported the attack.
According to multiple reports, the ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean’ star’s property manager, Kevin Murphy, testified in Depp’s libel trial against a UK tabloid. During the testimony, Murphy described arriving at the couple’s L.A. home after a 2015 argument — where Amber claimed she was assaulted by the actor.
At the time, Murphy said Amber told him tearfully Depp “had hit her in the face several times and pulled out her hair.”
But, Murphy told the court, “I remember standing roughly four feet away and becoming suspicious.”
He continued, “There were no marks, bruises, cuts, redness or swelling to Ms. Heard’s face, nor was there any area on her head where her hair appeared to have been pulled out.”
At that point, Kevin was shown a photo of Amber Heard from the day after the incident which clearly shows marks on her face from what lawyers called, a “litany of violence.”
“When I saw her, I saw no bruises, no redness, no scratches, no signs of any physical abuse or confrontation,” Murphy insisted.
As we reported, the court was shown a photo allegedly featuring a clump of hair Amber accused Johnny of ripping out during the argument.
But, the property manager says the photo Heard released of the hair “looked quite different” from the one he had taken himself at the time of the incident. Murphy texted Johnny Depp about his concerns over the “conflicting evidence.”
Murphy told the court he believed they were a ‘fraud.’
As you can imagine, lawyers for the media outlet confronted Murphy about his statements, asking if he was “suggesting a conspiracy?”
He responded, “Well, I am not suggesting… I think that it is a hoax.” Adding, “Johnny would never hit a woman.”
In fact, Kevin Murphy did details violence Amber Heard committed against Johnny while he was working for the couple.
The property manager testified the actor told him at one point she had “become enraged and threw a heavy television remote control” at his head, which hit him so hard it broke.
“I could clearly see a round, swelled lump and laceration to Mr. Depp’s forehead, left by the television remote,” he described.
He continued, “Mr. Depp appeared uncomfortable and embarrassed by the situation. He stated that it was ‘no big deal’ and asked me if could get the remote fixed or replaced,” he said according to reports.
As we reported, the libel trial is scheduled to run several more weeks and others, including actress Winona Ryder, are testifying in the next few days.
