Johnny Depp has finally taken the step of joining Instagram after the 56-year old actor had largely stayed away from social media. In his first post, the actor seemingly took the opportunity to address the Amber Heard situation — thanking his fans for their ‘unwavering support.’

In the clip, Depp finishes his first Instagram post with this “on a more, I suppose, personal note — thank you all for your kindness your unwavering support and your strength over these years.”
He added, “I’m touched beyond words.”
Johnny never directly addressed the ongoing legal war with Amber Heard but does say “Thanks very much — I reckon there is more to come.”

During the lengthy Instagram video, Depp shared a story about parenting his children and what he would respond to them if they said they were “bored.” His explanation, being relevant to most peoples isolation at this point, was to create music.
He explained he would tell his kids boredom is ‘not allowed’ and they should create art in those times. He mentioned playing an instrument or even making one inside your home.
During Johnny’s first-ever Instagram post, he also announced the release of a song he recorded with legendary guitarist Jeff Beck. The song, called ‘Isolation,’ Johnny says feels is important to release at this time based on its contents.
The record is a re-recording of a John Lennon track, that Deep describes includes lyrics which are, “prophetic words are pure poetry.”
John Lennon originally recorded the track which appeared on his first solo album, in 1970.
As we reported, Johnny is in a massive legal war with ex-wife Amber Heard on two different fronts. In one case, the actor is nearing trial with European newspaper ‘The Sun’ over allegations publish about him assaulting his wife. Depp is also suing Amber Heard for defamation in Virgina, over a Washington Post Op-Ed where he claims she seemingly accuses him of domestic violence.
We broke the story, several A-list stars have come to Depp’s defense in the legal cases — including Winona Ryder, Penelope Cruz, and Javier Bardem.
