John Travolta Praises Olivia Newton-John Amid Cancer Battle

By Jeff Mazzeo

John Travolta is sharing some touching words about his longtime friend and "Grease" co-star Olivia Newton-John as she is battling with stage 4 cancer.

The actor walked the red carpet at the premiere of his new film, "The Fanatic," at the Egytian Theatre in Hollywood on Thursday, where he told ET how proud he is of Newton-John.

"She looks incredible," Travolta exclaimed, "She doesn't look any different than years ago and I'm very proud of her."

Olivia Newton-John sat down with "60 Minutes Australia" earlier this month and revealed that her cancer is back and more aggressive than ever.

"I'm so lucky that I've been through this three times and I'm still here," Newton-John told "60 Minutes Australia."

The "Grease" star said she's trying to keep a positive outlook and is going to live her life to the fullest as she is battling the deadly disease.

"We know we're gonna die at some point, and we don't know when it is. When you're given a cancer diagnosis or a scary honest diagnosis, you're suddenly given a possibility of a time limit," Newton-John said. "So every day is a gift."

Travolta's movie looks scary and he plays a superfan/stalker of a celebrity and his character brings back memories of Kathy Bates' iconic role in "Misery."

John's look is also crazy because he ditched his new bald look and wore a bowl-style haircut and glasses.
