John Schneider Wants to Do His Community Service in Louisiana After 'DWTS' Exit

By TheBlast Staff

John Schneider is headed back to his home in Louisiana after his elimination from "Dancing With the Stars," so he'd like the court to give him permission to transfer his community service there.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Schneider is looking to do his 240 hours in Livingston Parish, which is located just outside Baton Rouge. He's even gone so far as to contact the Assistant Warden of the Livingston Parish Detention Center, who has agreed to be in charge of supervising and monitoring Schneider's community service.

In the docs, Schneider makes it clear that he "is not in any way attempting to shirt his responsibility under the order of this Court or to evade its sentence."

A judge has yet to rule.

John Schneider was sentenced to the 240 hours after he failed to make good on the money he owed his ex-wife, Elvira Schneider. He was also sentenced to three days in jail but he only served a few hours.
