Joanna Gaines believes her time is really, really valuable — she is asking for $150,000 an hour to be deposed as part of an ongoing furniture lawsuit.

As The Blast first reported, the “Fixer Upper” star was dragged into a legal battle – where she is not a plaintiff or defendant – involving a line of furniture that was to be sold under Joanna and her husband Chip’s furniture line, Magnolia Home.

Standard Furniture Manufacturing Company and LF Products are battling it out over a disagreement over the quality of the raw material that was used on the furniture made for the line. Gaines is alleged to be the one who discovered the furniture was made with a different type of material than what was agreed upon.

Gaines wants no part of sitting for a deposition for LF Products and filed documents in the case saying the request is burdensome and unnecessary since she isn’t a party to the suit. She said she was willing to answer questions via a written deposition.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, when LF Products contacted Gaines' lawyer, he told them she would not search for documents requested unless they reimbursed her for her time.

When they asked how much she thinks she is entitled to receive, he told them $150,000 an hour. The lawyer said Gaines believes that is a fair rate because she has been offered that amount for an appearance in the past.

LF Products is asking the judge to order her to sit for a deposition. So far, the court has yet to rule.
