Justin Timberlake publicly apologized to his wife, Jessica Biel, for what he called a “strong lapse in judgment” but recent reports suggest any inappropriate behavior may have cost him financially if his marriage falls apart.
According to several reports, Biel and Timberlake may have had a clause in their prenup prohibiting infidelity and if it takes place a penalty is placed on that person.
In a report, following the marriage of the two stars, the New York Daily News claimed the couple signed a prenup that specified how their property would be divided up in the case of a split.

The document allegedly had a clause in which Timberlake would be financially liable if he were ever unfaithful. The infidelity provision is commonly known as a “love contract.”
Timberlake, whose net worth is over $200 million, would lose $500,000 if he cheats…according to the report.

Interestingly, the couple lives in the state of Tennesse which is an equitable distribution state, so if a divorce is ever filed judges in the states have more room to change the terms of any agreement to ensure fairness.
Justin Timberlake issued a public apology to his wife, Jessica Biel, for the recent allegations of inappropriate behavior with his co-star Alisha Wainwright.
Timberlake posted the statement on Instagram, saying, “I stay away from gossip as much as I can, but for my family, I feel it is important to address recent rumors that are hurting the people I love.”
Justin made it clear, however, he did not cheat on his wife, “A few weeks ago I displayed a strong lapse in judgment — but let me be clear — nothing happened between me and my costar. I drank way too much that night and I regret my behavior. I should have known better,” he continued.
Justin also addressed the 4-year-old son he shares with Biel, “This is not the example I want to set for my son.”
He continued, “I apologize to my amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation, and I am focused on being the best husband and father I can be.”
He concluded, “This was not that. I am incredibly proud to be working on Palmer. Looking forward to continuing to make this movie and excited for people to see it.”
The singer’s fans initially defended his actions and public apology, but a few of them are now not buying what he is selling.
“You did nothing… your wife and your family knows you.. sorry you have to deal with so much judgment,” one fan wrote.
Another added, “Yes, you should of know better & she should of known better also. But it takes a real man to admit they were wrong.”
But one person commented, “Nah.. i saw the video, it’s clear you cheated. I feel so sorry for Jessica.”
“This is cheating, And the excuse: I drank too much. My partner or myself could have wayyyy to much to drink and wouldn’t behave this way — You know how wrong it is,” one fan said.
Jessica has not addressed the situation yet, and Justin’s representatives have just confirmed he did NOT cheat on his wife.
