In the days following the death of one of the fastest women on Earth, Jessi Combs’ boyfriend, Terry Madden, is sharing memories that pull at the heartstrings.
“I’m struggling today,” Madden wrote.
He explained, “I know I couldn’t have stopped her if I had tried, and she did die doing what she loved but I’d give anything to have this all be a bad dream…”
As we reported, Combs died in a tragic accident last while trying to set a new land speed record.
Over the last few days, Combs’ boyfriend has been sharing certain photos and explaining the memories.
“Not sure how to cope. I miss my @thejessicombs so bad,” Madden said. “I decided this morning to start sharing the stories that go with these every morning.”
Madden also shared a photo of the couple dressed up as mimes and said, “This was the single greatest night of my life.”
He explained that it was Halloween in Las Vegas and the two had a great time as they stayed in character and did not speak for the entire night.
“It was that night and the next morning we laid and talked and realized how truly connected we were,” Madden said.
He posted another picture of himself and Combs at the Grand Canyon accompanied by a loving story of her tremendous spirt and curiosity.
“@thejessicombs was so magic at turning a mistake into a possibility!”
Jessi Combs died at the age of 36 after she crashed in Oregon while trying to set a new land speed world record.
