Terry Madden, the boyfriend of the late Jessi Combs is continuing to eulogize and remember the love of his life, this time share the touching story of the two motor heads’ first ride together.
“So I rode for the first time today without Jess,” Madden started his message. “Getting bike out was tough, struggled bad the first several miles and then my mind freed up and I rode and rode while daydreaming about her and our travels.”
Madden continued his touching story and described that their first ride was a little unconventional for him and that he had to ride Jessi’s 2013 Softtail named Lilly.
“I didn’t have any of my bikes in town, she graciously gave me “Lilly,” he remembered. “Now Lilly is pretty / but fast no / and built for small girl so comfortable for me not one bit. So she takes off blasting thru traffic splitting lanes I’m doing my best but Jessi is one hell of a rider (when on equal equipment never had more fun riding with anyone in my life!!) and ol Lilly just cant keep up. We pull up to a stop light she looks over at me and says “you doin ok?” I said “nope – struggling to keep up” never forget she blew me a kiss from her helmet said “GOOD LUCK” as the light turned green – completely lit her bike up and was gone.
The romantic story ends with the couple arriving back to the shop in the early AM and Jessi saying what became his favorite quote from her, ““I’m cold! Time for you to warm me up babe!”
Days prior, he shared a recent photo of himself and loved ones planing the details for Jessi’s celebration of life.
He noted that a bright light shined right over his left shoulder when he looked at the picture.
“She just couldn’t be left out of this picture,” Madden continued, “love you @thejessicombs and love the fact you will always be looking over my shoulder.”
He stated that he will make it his life mission to run a foundation in her name and to fulfill the dreams she had.
As we reported, Combs died in a tragic accident last while trying to set a new land speed record.
