The MTV star took to his social media on Wednesday, July 29 to post the adorable throwback of the college-aged couple. The duo looks like babies in the old snap which shows Lauren holding a deck of cards and sitting on pre-Situation's lap. Wearing a promise ring on her finger, fans were quick to throw out cheating accusations in Mike Sorrentino's direction.

When someone commented, "Let me ask you a question when you did the show Jersey Shore Mike were you still dating Lauren," the Situation responded and thought he cleared up any confusion.

"No we were broken up when the first jersey shore started and eventually reconnected after the first jersey shore ended," he wrote. But trolls weren't satisfied and immediately bombarded his response with infidelity claims. "And you continued to cheat on her those subsequent seasons? Boooooo!" one hater wrote.

That's when the "Jersey Shore" star went IN, shooting down the accusations and putting the troll in their place. "Your [sic] an idiot! If you read the above caption it says we broke up season 1 of jersey shore and reconnected when it ended after season 6. So when Jersey shore family vacation started we were back together. SMFH."

But that didn't stop other haters from coming out of the woodworks. "Amazing how she stayed with you after watching you treat women like such trash," someone else commented to which Mike Sorrentino fiercely defended himself. "He without sin cast the first stone. People change, people grow! Become better not bitter!" the Situation hit back.

Other fans weren't so quick to judge and left comments praising the reality star for even responding to such pettiness. "You don't have to explain yourself to trolls," one follower wrote. "People want to spoil everything with their stupid questions, just ignore and voila," advised another.
