Jeremy Renner will not have to take a drug test despite his ex-wife Sonni Pacheco’s plea.
Daily Mail broke the story, Jeremy and his ex were in court this week for a hearing in their divorce. A judge denied Sonny’s motion demanding Jeremy take a drug test.
Sonni accused Jeremy of having a “long history of alcohol and drug abuse which has persisted since before the parties’ marriage, through divorce and post-judgment.”
At the hearing, the judge shut down the request writing the, “’Court finds there are insufficient facts to order the drug test.” The judge did order the actor to pay his ex $40,000 in attorney fees.
As The Blast previously reported, Jeremy and Sonni are in the middle of a nasty court battle.Earlier this year, Jeremy asked the court to slash his child support payments from $30,000 to $11,000. He accused his ex of using the money as a “slush fund” to support her lifestyle. Jeremy asked the court to allow his business managers to have control over Ava’s support.
Shortly after, Sonni filed documents in the case accusing Jeremy of being reckless with their daughter’s health during the pandemic.
She said he had not been following the safety guidelines. She believed he allowed “several young women” to be around their daughter at his Reno home without wearing masks.
The motion read, “it appears that Respondent is not following pandemic safety guidelines, including while Ava is in his custody, particularly in his Reno home. The evidence strongly suggests that Respondent has numerous people in his Reno house without wearing masks. The participants include several young women.”
Back in 2014, Jeremy and Sonni split after 10 months of marriage. They share a daughter named Ava. The couple has been in and out of court for years fighting over custody and support.
