“Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek has sold off his lake home for $1.3 million, days before announcing he has resumed chemotherapy.

According to real estate records, the home sale was made official on August 30.

Trebek listed the Paso Robles, California home in April, one month after he revealed his cancer diagnosis. The asking price was set at $1,399,999 but he sold it for $1.3 million.

The 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom, 2,595 sq. ft. property overlooks Lake Nacimiento. The home was built in 2000 and sits on 30 acres of land. The property appears to be one of Trebek’s vacation homes. His main home is located in Los Angeles.

The listing for the lake home read,” THIS IS THE COMPLETE LAKEFRONT PROPERTY! It will be hard to beat this lakefront listing at beautiful Lake Nacimiento for the attributes desired in a lake vacation home. The 2595 sq. ft. 3 bedroom, 2 bath home comes fully furnished (except for artwork & personal possessions) and is truly a "turnkey" property.”

It also touted, “The 30 acre parcel enjoys the best lake frontage of all of Ranchos del Lago, having been offered to the owner specially by the original developers, and he has developed the property with great care and aesthetic. In addition to the furnished home, there is a 1500 sq. ft. metal building with full bathroom and two rollup doors. All the tools, and the "toys" are included, as are the two SkiDoos, and the two Quads. There is a private ramp into the lake on the property and a covered dock as well.”

“I was doing so well. And my numbers went down to the equivalent of a normal human being who does not have pancreatic cancer, Trebek explained.

He said, "we were all very optimistic," and the doctors stopped his chemotherapy and switched him to immunotherapy.

After the switch, Trebek said, "I lost about 12 pounds in a week. And my numbers went sky high, much higher than they were when I was first diagnosed. So, the doctors have decided that I have to undergo chemo again and that's what I'm doing."

Even though he is fighting for his life, Trebek does not want people to feel sad for him, and explained that he has lived a long and successful life.

"Hey guys. I’m 79-years-old. I’ve had one hell of a good life. And I’ve enjoyed it … the thought of passing on doesn't frighten me, it doesn't. Other things do, the affect it will have on my loved ones ... it makes me sad. But the thought of myself moving on, hey folks, it comes with the territory.”
