Jennifer Lopez Responds To Super Bowl Rumors, ‘It Would Be Awesome!’

By Jeff Mazzeo

Jennifer Lopez seems to be willing herself into the most coveted musical performance of the year -- the Super Bowl.

Rumors have been flying around that the “Hustlers” actress is the heavy favorite to headline America’s biggest stage.

Last night, Lopez told ET that, “it would be amazing” to be asked to get On The Floor, or on the field rather, and perform for millions of fans.

“It would be awesome,” J Lo said, adding, “there’s certain things you hope to accomplish one day and that’s definitely one of them.”

The choice of Lopez seems to make a lot of sense considering the big game is in Miami this year because she already has the key to the city.

J Lo was actually interviewed at a movie theater in Miami where she surprised fans who were seeing her new film, “Hustlers,” on opening weekend.

The buzz around the movie has been overwhelmingly positive and even notes that J Lo’s performance as the ringleader, Romona, is Oscar worthy.

Lopez Gets Emotional

She was recently overcome with emotion when talking about the incredible reviews to Hoda Kotb during a Town Hall interview for SiriusXM.

“I’ve just been working hard, you know, for so long for my whole life,” she said while getting choked up. “I’m sorry, you guys know that I’m emotional, I’m sorry.”

This Is Her Year

“Hustlers” may be a big moment for the star but with the potential Super Bowl performance and her wedding with MLB superstar, Alex Rodriguez, the good times are just getting started.

A-Rod got to see the new movie for the first time at the Toronto International Film Festival.

J Lo participated in a talk at New York’s The Wing where she told the audience that she was nervous about her boyfriend’s reaction to her role.

With so many memorable moments like her 50th birthday and receiving the key to Miami, this is shaping up to be the year of the Lopez.
