Jason Momoa has lined up his next project.
Jason Momoa has earned a spot on the A-list following the success of Aquaman, and fans have been eagerly awaiting his next project. He recently wrapped on the hotly anticipated adaptation of Dune and an upcoming series on the Apple TV+ streaming service.
Netflix also announced that Momoa will produce and star in their upcoming thriller Sweet Girl, which follows a father seeking vengeance for his wife’s murder while also caring for his young daughter. Momoa will be teaming up with his longtime creative partner and first time director Brian Andrew Mendoza.
Momoa and Mendoza had previously worked together on the Netflix/Discovery Canada’s Frontier and the film Braven. Momoa is clearly stoked to work with his friend again, releasing a statement with Netflix’s announcement.
“I’m excited to partner with Netflix once again. I’m putting a dream team together from Brad [Peyton] and Jeff [Fierson] to my best friend, Brian, who has been my partner for over 10 years. It’s a dream come true to collaborate with him and deliver his vision.”
