Jason Aldean's popular Nashville restaurant is being sued by a former cook who claims she was fired after questioning management about not being paid overtime.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Cindy Galeano says she worked as a cook at Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar from May 1, 2018 through September 5, 2018 (remember that date).

In the suit, filed by the law firm Morgan & Morgan, Galeano claims she regularly worked more than 40 hours a week. She says federal law dictates she should have been paid time-and-a-half for everything over 40 hours but never was.

Galeano claims on September 4, 2018, she questioned her human resources manager about not being paid overtime for the hours she worked in excess of 40 hours a week.

She is suing for the money she believes she is owed, plus damages.

The Blast reached out to a rep for Aldean for comment — so far, no word back.

Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar opened last summer and is located in downtown Nashville. It features a shop with Aldean merchandise, large screen TVs, several couches and a private bar.
