Janet Jackson had to work on Valentine's Day just like everybody else but hopefully, her gift will be the one all her fans are waiting for.

The singer shared a cool black and white photo of herself in the studio working on her new music. She has been making the media rounds to spread the news that she is coming out with a new album and a new tour both called, "Black Diamond." Luckily for Janet, she loves to make music so her V-Day plans are kind of a blessing.

"Doing what I love #All4U today ?#HappyValentinesDay u guys! Love U ??? #BlackDiamond," Jackson wrote in the caption of her post.

Janet recently sat down with Ryan Seacrest to explain why this project is so important to her and why she chose the name "Black Diamond" for the tour and the album.

"The black diamonds are the toughest to cut, for me that totally translated to the hardest to hurt, to destroy," Jackson explained. "I knew I was strong but in recent years, I've really realized how strong I am as a woman and I see myself as a rock."

She continued, "I have some rough edges but wanted to show my strength and share some of my stories. Hopefully, it will inspire others and give them strength if they need that."

Jackson did not go into details but admitted that she was "tested" in recent years and had to dig deep within herself to overcome her obstacles. While keeping her cards close to her chest, she told Seacrest that her mother was always a source of inspiration to be strong.

"My parents... incredibly strong, my mother's incredibly strong, my father's incredibly strong," Janet said. "I always wanted my mother's strength, my parent's strength."

Seacrest than said, "You have it!" to which Janet agreed and said, "Yes!" She went on to say that her fans will have to listen to her album to hear what her new songs are all about. Such a tease!
