Janet Jackson is reaching out to her fans and encouraging them not to go stir crazy while protecting themselves and others amid the Coronavirus outbreak. Ms. Jackson is even dropping some ideas on how to combat cabin fever while self-isolating for what Californians just found out will be at least another four weeks of quarantine. The 53-year-old chart-topper took to her social media on Friday and advised her 4.3 million Instagram followers to “shift the energy into the positive” during this unknown time.
Posting several photo collages from never-before-seen moments from her tour and personal life, Janet Jacket listed tons of activities for everyone at home to stay moving and motivated. Tagging her location in “Love & Light,” the “Miss You Much” singer stated, “Hey U guys ??. I know we’re all going through some rough times right now. I was thinking it would be nice to come together to shift the energy into the positive.” She encouraged fans who “have some free time” or anyone who has “cabin fever,” to join her in the following list of activity ideas.
Janet Jackson’s list includes meditation and prayer, stretching and working out, and listening to music, and of course, she wants you to listen to hers. She also suggests doing things like writing, dancing, and strutting, as well as talking to loved ones, practicing self-love and role playing because, why not? Each of the singer’s activity ideas has a page in her post dedicated to showing her doing all of these ideas. “Positivity and spreading love is everything right now,” Janet Jackson continued in her caption.
Trying to create unity, the Grammy winner told her followers, “feel free to share with me all the things U all are doing, and your own versions of what I posted too ?I would luv to see.” Janet Jackson also said she’ll be reposting some of her fan’s activities on her social media and signed off by sending her followers “love & light ? .” Janet Jackson continues to shine despite having a rough past month after losing her dear friend and “Good Times” co-star Ja’Net DuBois in February. At the time, the singer couldn’t hold back her sorrow and took to her Instagram to pay a loving tribute to the beloved actress.
