Erika Jayne had an unexpected audience member at her Broadway show on Tuesday night when Janet Jackson showed up to support “The Real Housewives of Orange County” and sat front and center. The five-time Grammy winner spent her night watching the blonde bombshell play Roxie in the cult favorite “Chicago” at The Ambassador Theatre last night in New York City. Erika Jayne joined the Broadway show in September with her first performance on January 6th and while she’s performed for several famous faces in the audience — like her “RHOBH” co-stars — no one has been as high profile as Janet Jackson.
The “That’s The Way Love Goes” singer sat patiently through the two and a half hour show then met up with Erika Jayne to congratulate her on her stellar performance backstage. The unexpected duo posed side by side as photographers snapped the monumental moment after the show. Janet Jackson looked beautiful and kept warm wearing a black knitted scarf. Erika Jayne still had her stage makeup on which included fake eyelashes and her ruby red lipstick. Covering up her sheer costume, the “RHOBH” star threw on a black blazer and flashed a bright white smile while chatting with the superstar.
It appeared that their rendezvous did not stop there because they both posted selfies with each other and shared them on their Instagram pages. Showing their newfound friendship went beyond the Broadway show, Erika Jayne tagged them at the prestigious high-end Peninsula Hotel in the Big Apple. The duo made the afterparty a threesome and added famous fashion designer Alexander Wang to the mix. The trio posed together at what looked like the bar and snapped several selfies including one showing them smiling and another one blowing kisses.
“When the QUEEN comes to town… Broadway shuts down,” Erika Jayne captioned the shots. “It was an HONOR to perform for you tonight.” It didn’t take long for the snaps to catch attention with her “RHOBH” co-star Lisa Rinna writing, “THE GAME HAS CHANGED!!!!” Janet Jackson posted the shots too but simply captioned them with kissing face emojis. Alexander Wang shared a shot of the girls from far away and teased fans by writing, “While u were sleeping.” It’s amazing that Janet Jackson actually had time for her fun night considering she just announced her album AND a world tour. She’s also appeared on several shows to promote her album and received tons of attention for looking like her brother Michael Jackson in her first selfie of 2020.
