“Insecure” is created by Issa Rae and comedian Larry Whilmore. The show was based on Rae’s web series “Awkward Black Girl”.

The critically acclaimed show follows Issa as Issa Dee as she tries to balance work, love and life in Los Angeles.

Season 3 ended with Issa walking away from Nathan, who she had been dating off and on. She then decides to walk back into her apartment. She pours herself a drink and puts together her place together. She is beginning to focus on herself in the finale, leaving a lot of options for where season 4 can go.
