Idris Elba just shared a huge update in his Coronavirus journey, telling fans he and his wife will be immune to the deadly virus once they fully recover from it.

The actor took to Twitter to give everyone an update on his status and revealed his doctors have told him he will immune to the disease for a 'certain time' once he has finished dealing with the virus.

But, he then dropped some great news about the future, "Dr. told us that after quarantine we will be immune for a certain time since our antibodies fought this. At some point, we'd like to go home to London. Bsafe."

As we reported, Idris was one of the first celebrities to go public that he had contracted the virus and has been updating fans with the progress. At the time, he wasn't experiencing horrible symptoms and even answered a fan asking about if he had bad ones, "No not really. .. the day I got tested I had body aches and a headache."

The actor went on to explain in a series of tweets following the announcement saying, "Apparently. Covid 19 might mutate as our bodies build up defenses against it..."

He is right! According to the FDA, earlier this week approved the use of plasma from patients who have beat the virus to be injected back into critically ill patients to help them fight the virus. If Elba recovers 100 percent he would end up being one of these people.

As for how long this thing last, Idris says told one Twitter fan "I think day 13..." is where he is right now.
