Hilaria Baldwin is being commended by a pregnancy loss support group after making her possible miscarriage public.
The co-founder of Through the Heart, Dr. Karen Kelly, tells The Blast, "Our hearts go out to Hilaria & Alec, and it is commendable that she is using this terribly difficult moment to help shatter the stigma of miscarriage."
The Dr. firmly believes it is very healthy for Hilaria to share the process while it's unfolding, instead of waiting.
"Too often, women (and their partners) are afraid to share what they are going through, and often times only open up well after the loss – typically after a subsequent, viable pregnancy. Being in the moment makes it raw and real – something that very much describes pregnancy loss," Kelly says.
She adds, "As stories such as Hilaria’s are shared, it is another step in the right direction of normalizing something that affects so many people."
Through the Heart is a nationwide support group that helps grieving parents after they suffer all types of pregnancy loss, including miscarriage, stillbirth, and termination for medical reason.
Hilaria has not yet given an update on her situation, as of this posting, but is receiving support from fans after sharing her story.
