Harvey Weinstein has hired a new mouthpiece after the elite crisis firm that was handling the strategy for his scandal split with the movie mogul, and it was largely because he stopped paying the bill.

Sitrick and Company announced Tuesday they "resigned" from representing Weinstein. But, sources close to Sitrick tell The Blast the firm filed arbitration in Feburary after part of the bill for their PR services went unpaid. Our sources say that Harvey paid some of the bill, but left an outstanding balance.

Sitrick and Company have represented some of the biggest names in Hollywood during their most desperate times, including Paris Hilton, David Duchovny and Papa John's CEO John Schnatter.

One source close to the company tells us that Weinstein never questioned any specifics in the bill, but still didn't pay the whole tab. Now that legal action has been taken, we are told Weinstein is having his attorneys sort it out, which will most likely be in a private settlement.

As you can imagine, it's not cheap providing services for a client who is responsible for the biggest scandals to ever rock Hollywood. However, it's unclear if Weinstein felt like he didn't get his money worth, or just felt like the services should have been cheaper.

We're told that even after legal documents were filed to collect from the disgraced producer, Weinstein and his reps "begged" for the firm to continue working with him. We're told Sitrick refused.

Going forward, we are told PR specialist Ronn Torossian, reached out be brought up to speed. Its unclear if Torossian is on the Weinstein team officially or just involved in the interim.

Good luck and Godspeed to the next spokesperson.

Update: Torossian represents Harvey's lawyer Ben Brafman, and was called when Sitrick resigned but is not coming on full time for the Weinstein case, in fact he has another rep already on board.
