Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez Are Facing Sanctions Over a Clerical Error in Their Divorce Case

By TheBlast Staff

Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez missed a court hearing in their divorce case today — because they did not know anything about it — and now they are facing sanctions from the court.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the former couple and their respective lawyers — Laura Wasser and Stephen Kolodny — skipped a hearing today at Los Angeles Superior Court. A new hearing date has been set for January 2019 where the two sides (and their lawyers) could face sanctions failing to comply with a court order and missing the hearing.

But our sources tell us this is all a misunderstanding that can be chalked up to a clerical error. The details of their divorce have long been settled and Berry and Martinez are getting along great as they raise their 5-year-old son, Maceo.

Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez were married on July 13, 2013 in France and she gave birth to Maceo just a few months later. The couple split in 2015 and finalized their divorce in December 2016.
