Halle Berry Doesn't Have Time For Internet Troll, Claps Back in Comments

By Ryan Naumann

Halle Berry is not here for internet trolls and schooled one in her comments.

The actress posted a photo of Michelle Williams on stage accepting her Emmy for Lead Actress in a Limited Series/Movie.

The photo included a quote from Williams’ speech, “So the next time a woman, and especially a woman of color, because she stands to make 52 cents on the dollar compared to her white male counterpart, tells you what she needs in order to do her job, listen to her, believe her.”

Berry captioned her post, “Exactly.”

The message was not received well by one person who commented, “Victimhood mentality or pandering…..u don’t see Denzel or Morgan yapping away.”

Berry was not in the mood and quickly schooled them, “with all due respect they are not black woman…and it’s not just about pay… It’s deeper than dollars!” She also left the prayer emoji in response.

The Blast

Fans praised Berry for the response with one writing, “so referencing statistics and using those facts to shed light on an issue is victimhood and pandering? 🤦🏽‍♀️ The length some of you will go to deflect and distract and to what end? What are you gaining from invalidating others’ experiences?”

Another commented, “ I totally agree! Im so thankful she used that moment to speak up about white males being paid more. But when will white women notice the inequality they also benefit from by also get paid more than other women of color?”

One fan replied, “She is using her privilege to spread awareness and lift up she should and I applaud her for that. Take several seats”
