Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber are speaking out about the brutal death of George Floyd, and are making a clear and powerful statement -- "People are being murdered because of the color of their skin."

Hailey Bieber took to Instagram to address the situation and point out that racism is alive and well in this country.

"It’s heartbreaking that we’re honoring yet another life that was lost due to the violence and racism our country displays far too often. To say that racism is alive today would be a gross understatement, and to say that white privilege doesn’t exist is ignorance at its finest," Hailey began.

She continued, "We live in a country that denies the same freedom and rights to someone based on the color of their skin... black men, women and children are being MURDERED because of the color of their skin while white men, women and children majority of the time receive a slap on the wrist at best."

The supermodel made it clear she believes the officers involved in George Floyd's death belong behind bars. The message comes just hours after the District Attorney handling the case refused to file any criminal charges against the police, at least at this point.

"I am tired, I’m angry, I’m sad, and I will not stay quiet. Changes need to be made, and people need to be behind bars for their actions...Rest In Peace George Floyd," she concluded.

Justin Bieber also addressed his 137 Million Instagram followers, saying, "No lives matter until black lives matter."

The pop star included a photo of a quote from Martin Luther King Jr. that reads, "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter."

Several fans posted reactions to Hailey and Justin's posts, with one person saying, "it truly sickens me how people can be so inhumane to hate and mistreat someone for the color of their skin. I hope George Floyd gets the justice he rightfully deserves. rest in peace 💔."

As we reported, actress Reese Witherspoon also posted a lengthy message on Instagram revealing the conversation she had about the subject with her 7-year-old son.

"Last night at dinner, my 7-year-old asked why all the grown-ups were so upset. We spoke to him about what happened to George Floyd. Being a white mother trying to explain racism and bigotry to her white son, who did not understand why anyone would treat another human being that way, was heartbreaking." she posted.

Celebrities including Halle Berry and Eva Longoria praised Witherspoon for her message about racism and seeking justice.
