As you know, earlier this month, the Space X boss announced the name of his newborn baby as ‘X Æ A-12’.
But, Grimes addressed the ongoing legal issues with the name on Instagram after a fan asked if she had changed the name due to the ongoing issues.
Grimes confirmed the name change but did not give clarification if the change was made due to pressure by the state.
Grimes posted on Instagram, the babies new name is — “X Æ A-Xii.’
In her post, fans noticed that she removed the numbers in the child’s name, something that is not allowed in California.
After a person online posted this message, “Nice! Just removed the numbers to conform to California law,” Grimes responded, “Roman numerals. Looks better tbh.”
According to the law, roman numerals are allowed and any letter from the alphabet — plus, a dash is ok too. It was the symbols that wouldn’t fly with the government.
As we reported, Grimes explained the babies unique name to fans, saying the X represents “the unknown variable” and “Æ, my elven spelling of Ai (love &/or Artificial intelligence).”
The singer added that a part of the name was a nod to the CIA’s Lockheed A-12 reconnaissance plane, which has “no weapons, no defenses, just speed. Great in battle, but non-violent.”
As for the “A” in the name it represents “Archangel” — which she said is her “favorite song” and the number “12” stood for the Chinese zodiac sign of the rat.
We’re told the current number and letters WILL be excepted by the State of Calfornia, and little X will have it officially stamped on his birth certificate.
Elon shared a precious photo of himself holding baby X inside of the hospital just hours after the baby was born. Of course, in the photo, he is wearing an ‘Occupy Mars’ t-shirt.
This is the first child for singer Grimes, and Elon Musk has five children from his previous marriage. Tragically, in 2002, his first son Nevada, tragically died of SIDS at just 10 weeks old.
