'Gold Rush' Star Parker Schnabel Hit with Miner Speeding Ticket in Alaska

"Gold Rush" star Parker Schnabel was only caught speeding a tiny bit over the limit, but it still cost him about 1.5 grams of pure gold.

According to documents obtained by The Blast, 24-year-old Schnabel was hit with a citation in March by the Alaska State Troopers for speeding between 4 - 9 MPH over the limit.

The Discovery star, who owns the Big Nugget Mine in Haines Borough, Alaska, was given a warning back in April for not responding to the citation, and ended up pleading no contest to the charge on May 6.

Schnabel was fined $60, and now he can get back to work planning his next big adventure for his spinoff show "Parker's Trails."
