3/28/18: Bleona has finally responded, and says being a creditor in the bankruptcy is not because she's a victim of Harvey Weinstein, but is related to a business deal with TWC that she is barred from publicly discussing due to a non-disclosure agreement. As for hiring Gloria Allred, Bleona says Allred is "One of the best lawyers out there."
Two women who are each represented by attorney Gloria Allred, including an Albanian celebrity, are listed as people who may be owed money by The Weinstein Company.
According to the bankruptcy filing by TWC Bleona Qereti, an Albanian singer and reality star is listed as a creditor with Allred's law firm named and specifically says "ATTN: Gloria Allred."
Qereti starred on the short-lived Bravo reality show "Euros of Hollywood" in 2014 and was also featured on the Albanian version of "X Factor."
It's unclear why Qereti is a creditor, but sources close to the Albanian singer tell us they don't believe she was owed any money in connection with singing. The only connection we could find to Qereti and TWC was a party she attended in 2011 co-hosted by Harvey and his brother Bob Weinstein to celebrate TWC's Academy Award nominees that year.
As for why high-profile women's rights attorney Gloria Allred is listed as Qereti's lawyer, remains unknown. Allred, who is currently representing an alleged sexual assault victim of Harvey Weinstein, is also listed as the lawyer for another creditor in the bankruptcy only named as "Jane Doe, An Individual."
Allred tells The Blast, "Perhaps TWC listed us because they are aware that we have many clients who we represent with claims against TWC and Harvey Weinstein."
The Blast reached out to Allred, but she would not confirm she represented Qereti or the Jane Doe, and also could not confirm if either women had settlements related to allegations of misconduct against Weinstein. We also reached out to Qereti, so far no comment.
