Supermodel Gigi Hadid might become one of the jurors in the upcoming Harvey Weinstein rape and sexual assault trial, and it's all because she is just doing her civic duty.

Hadid appeared in a New York courtroom Monday morning where she is in the running to become one of Harvey Weinstein's jurors.

According to reports, from inside the courtroom, Hadid told the judge she thinks she can “keep an open mind on the facts.”

Hadid, who lives in New York, did a bit of a different runway walk by the huge crowd of cameras as she entered the courthouse.

Gigi did tell the court she had met Weinstein in the past, as well as actress Salma Hayek when she was asked about her association with anyone in the case. Potential jurors were read the list of witnesses and participants in the case including actresses Salma Hayek, Charlize Theron, and Rosie Perez.

In the end, Hadid was asked to return Thursday for further questioning. So it's possible she may get picked to sit on the 12-person jury.

As you can imagine, Gigi has an easy excuse to try and get removed from the process, but it seems she is game to sit on the jury. Also, the prosecution may like the fact that a young famous female is amongst the people judging whether or not Weinstein used his position in the entertainment business to commit such alleged crimes.
