Floyd Mayweather’s baby mama Melissia Rene is honoring his ex Josie Harris following her tragic death this week.
As The Blast reported, Josie Harris was found dead in a parked car outside her home in Valencia, California on Monday night. Floyd has yet to comment on Harris’ death.
Mayweather’s ex, Melissia Rene, posted a touching tribute to Harris on social media. Rene is mother to Mayweather’s daughter YaYa.
In the post, she shared a throwback photo of Harris and Mayweather with their 3 kids and Rene’s daughter. Rene describes how Harris took care of YaYa like she was her own.
She wrote, “This one hurt ?…. I’m typing this with tears in my eyes ? Josie I want you to know you’ve done such a great job with the kids. You’ve always loved YaYa like she was one of your own. I’ll never forget the last message you sent YaYa about us coming to visit you. You have my word to always be there for the kids if they need ANYTHING. My heart hurts for the kids right now, but I know you will watch over & protect them. May God bless your soul RIP #josielharris ???♥️”
As The Blast first reported, Harris was set to face off with Mayweather in a $20 million trial in December. She sued the fighter accusing him of defaming her during an interview with Katie Couric. In his interview, he claimed Harris was high on drugs during an alleged 2010 domestic violence incident.
Harris said his story was a lie and accused him of viciously beating her. Floyd was sentenced to two months in jail over the incident.
Recently, a Los Angeles judge set a trial date of December 7, 2020 in the case brought by Harris against Mayweather. The two were to appear in court during the trial.
